2026 Judson-Morrissey Excellence in New Media Award
Call for EntriesThe New Media Caucus (NMC) invites applications for the 2026 Judson-Morrissey Excellence in New Media Award: Scholarship for BIPOC Students. The scholarship fund provides multiple unrestricted awards, funded through donor contributions, in varying amounts up to $500, for BIPOC undergraduate and graduate students working in the field of new media art (artist, practitioner, historian, and/or critic).
Awardees will be featured in an NMC Header/Footer Gallery exhibition and digitally published interview. After selection, NMC will contact awardees directly to request permission to use specific images/video for the exhibition.
This award is consistent with the vision of the NMC and our commitment to cultivating inclusivity within the new media arts community. Applicants must provide a 500 word (maximum) letter of application, a short biography (100-200 words), and 3-5 work samples (artwork) or 2-3 work samples (writing). The work will be reviewed by members of the NMC Board.
