Call for Entries: 2nd Aion Digital Art Prize (2026–2027)

Aion Laboratory, a division of Ise-Shima Art Company in Japan, invites entries to the 2nd Aion Digital Art Prize (2026–2027).

The competition is open to artists of all nationalities and ages. Individual and collaborative works are eligible, including previously exhibited or awarded works.

Eligible practices include computer and electronic art, interactive and digital installations, multimedia, video art, animation, sound art, music, AR, VR and other new media practices.

Deadline: 1 March 2027, 23:59 GMT.
Entry fee: JPY 3,000 per work, non-refundable. Each additional work requires a separate application and fee.
Awards: one Grand Prize of JPY 50,000 and a printed certificate; up to 35 Aion Digital Art Prizes with certificates.
Results: 5 May 2027.

Submission is online: provide a hosted link to the work and its description through the application form, then pay the entry fee. Keep the work accessible until the results are announced. No travel is required.

AI-assisted work is eligible if the applicant explains how AI was used. Works made solely by AI are not accepted. Artists retain copyright; the official rules explain the organizer's permission to introduce, share and exhibit submitted works.
