We have an opening for an Associate or Full Professor of Interactive Media at American University in Washington, DC, with an emphasis on interactive storytelling, worldbuilding, and/or playful design.

The candidate’s media and design practice can be flexible but should connect to one or more domains in the public interest such as the environment, health, urban and spatial planning, etc..

The successful candidate will become a tenured faculty member in the Film and Media Arts division of the School of Communication. We'll begin reviewing applications on November 1, 2026, with an anticipated start date of August 2027.
