Square promotional graphic for New Media Caucus exhibition “at the edge of the demiurge.” A hand-drawn speculative structure of platforms, suspended elements, cables, and organic forms occupies the center. Sketchbook-style notes and arrows fill the background. A dark band across the image contains the title, artist names, curator credit, and the New Media Caucus logo.

'at the edge of the demiurge' - online exhibition at Header/Footer Gallery

Posted October 20, 2026

The New Media Caucus presents the new online exhibition: at the edge of the demiurge, a show that brings together works by Dorotea Dolinšek, César Escudero Andaluz, MORAKANA, and Daris Rubio, curated by Rodrigo Guzman-Serrano.

The exhibition draws on the figure of the demiurge to question the technoscientific systems that shape our world and demand more and more from us. In response, the featured artists build machines and apparatuses that engage with these systems from different perspectives, offering new tools for understanding, questioning, and intervening in the forces that govern us.

Special thanks to Laura Cortés-Rico for her support with the web design, Mariana Juarez Celis, curatorial assistant, and to Luz Muleiro Rogel for the illustrations.
