Practice
We are seeking candidates with diverse and hybridized backgrounds (some combination of scholar, artist, designer, or developer) whose work addresses themes of gender, race, labor, accessibility, and other crucial issues of societal context (bias, surveillance, authorship, consent) through emerging media technologies. This position will complement and strengthen our commitment to delivering a robust curriculum that is inclusive of diverse and critical perspectives, applications, and sites in digital art and design practice.

We strongly encourage candidates whose work engages with or has had a demonstrable impact on diverse communities to apply.

The successful candidate should be an excellent teacher with a strong commitment to student mentorship, prepared to teach undergraduates and Master’s students. Teaching requirements include core courses for the program as well as special topics courses within the candidate’s area of expertise. Candidates can expect a 2/2 teaching load with some additional service. The Integrated Design & Media program offers BS and MS degrees in Integrated Design & Media.
