Sat 11/22, Brooklyn: A night of audiovisual beats

Join us on Saturday November 22 in Brooklyn for an exciting evening featuring a variety of approaches to audiovisual expression!

"A night of audiovisual beats" will begin with Kristina Warren (kmwarren.org) performing several recent audiovisual works, including excerpts from Three Rivulets (https://kmwarren.bandcamp.com/album/three-rivulets), praised as "beautifully organic" (Peter Bruyn) and "seductive and erudite" (Frédéric Cardin). Then Kristina will VJ for the incredible DJ Rekha (https://www.djrekha.com/), who founded their iconic Basement Bhangra series in 1997 as a way to incorporate DJ practice and South Asian diasporic dance music. Light & Sound Design, a vibrant and lovingly curated space in Greenpoint, will host this fun showcase of multimedia vibrations. Hope to see you there!

Kristina Warren (kmwarren.org) is a sound and media artist, curator, and collaborator based on Narragansett land, aka Providence, RI, US. Warren uses hybrid analog/digital tools to tell complex stories in relatable ways. Warren's work further aims to highlight the unique ebbs and flows of collective listening and attention, an ethos which also drives Warren's work as a promoter and artistic collaborator.
