The 7th Interdisciplinary Conference Taboo – Transgression – Transcendence in Art & Science (TTT2027 Vienna) will take place from 14 to 17 September 2027 at the University of Applied Arts Vienna (Angewandte), Austria.

First held in 2016 at Ionian University in Corfu, Greece, TTT facilitates critical dialogue across art, science, technology, and society, bringing together artists, researchers, scholars, curators, and interdisciplinary practitioners.

Taking the placenta as both a biological reference and a conceptual framework for relationality, temporality, and interdependence, TTT2027 Vienna invites critical perspectives on care, artistic autonomy, and transformation.

Proposals are invited in three categories: Research Papers, Artist Talks, and Artwork Presentations. Applicants should submit an abstract or project description of up to 300 words by 11 November 2026.

Submissions will be reviewed by the international TTT Scientific-Artistic Committee. English is the working language. Registration and participation are free of charge.

The conference is supported by Johannes Kepler University Linz and the inter-university Art x Science School for Transformation.
