Tacie Jones’ artistic research is a socially driven exploration into the relationship between embodied memory and the present moment. Her work activates multisensory investigations through experimental media art, performance, queer theory, trauma-informed recovery, and consciousness studies in the completion of video art works and immersive large-scale multimedia installations.
Tacie has exhibited work both nationally and internationally. She earned an interdisciplinary practice-based Ph.D. at Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA, and an MFA in Creative Technologies in 2019. She is currently an Assistant Professor of New Media at the School of Art & Design at Marshall University in Huntington, WV.
